Dear OTFC Member,
We hope that this finds you and your family well in the unprecedented times we are facing. We thought the weather this season was challenging enough, but yesterday we found out that due to CV19, all Leagues have now been concluded below the National League for the 2019-20 season. Please see below excerpt regarding Grassroots Clubs from the FA announcement.
“We can now confirm that The FA has decided that all grassroots football is concluded for the 2019/20 season. This will allow the game to move forward and to commence planning for next season. Our County Football Associations [CFAs] will be supporting grassroots leagues over the coming days to determine how they should close out their current competitions. ”
OTFC have been following the Government guidance throughout this pandemic, as you will all know all of our teams stopped playing 2 weeks ago and our Clubhouse closed on Monday 23rd March until further notice. Our volunteers continue to maintain our pitches on Station Road, working in isolation from others. If anyone does have time to sit on a tractor we’d love to have your help so we can make a rota up. OTFC admin work will also continue so that we will be ready to start the new season as soon as the information from our Leagues are published.
For those of you who don’t know, OTFC is a CASC (Charity) which is run on a non-profit basis. All of the money received from football subscriptions and all income made at the Clubhouse are utilised to pay for our football activities, and the upkeep of our Club facilities, including payment of our lease, pitch maintenance & marking, pitch hire, referee fees, kit & equipment, plus investment in equipment and grounds maintenance for future seasons. As with all other businesses CV19 is having a significant financial impact on OTFC.
Our Committee, in line with social distancing have had our monthly Committee meeting as a virtual meeting to discuss the challenges ahead. We understand that there will be concerns over subscriptions and we would ask that you contact us on treasurer@oundletownfc.co.uk to request pro rata refunds of your annual subscription. For those of you who have standing orders we ask that you cancel these from 26th March. Lastly the OTFC committee want to wish that you and your family keep safe and well during this time.
