Oundle Town FC recently signed a 30 year lease with Oundle School after 3 years of negotiations which now secures the Club’s future at the Station Rd ground.

Walking Football Prostate Awareness

Oundle Town FC Walking Football Squad 18/19 Season

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month!

Our Walking Football team are playing away to Sleaford today to help raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and create awareness of prostate cancer thoughout September.

Prostate cancer claims the life of one man every 45 minutes, and has now overtaken breast cancer to become the third biggest cancer killer in the UK.

Reserve Team 1st Game Victory

The Reserve Team got off to a great start in their 1st league game, with 6 teenagers 16-19 and 6 lads 21-25, Oundle had a very young side that earned a well fought victory over Thorpe Wood Rangers 2-0 playing some great football at times and could easily have had 5/6 goals before Josh Bonnet saved a penalty with 15 mins to go to save a worrying finale. Scorers Nathan Butler and Scott Gardner! Man of the Match was Scott Gardner.

4-2 win for OTFC against last seasons PDFL Division One Champions Moulton Harrox FC.

At half-time Oundle Town were 3 nil-up after a very impressive first half with quality possession and attack play. Moulton Harrox FC Reserves pulled back two goals after the interval (2-3), then OTFC were awarded a free-kick 20 yards outside the penalty box  in the 65th  minute.

New Club Secretary Michael Hamill

A New Club Secretary

Outgoing Club Secretary Malcolm Smith has retired from the post after 30 years of dedication and service to the club.

As a huge thank you for his commitment to Oundle Town FC over the years, Malcolm has accepted the honorary post as Club President from the directors and membership. His successor, Michael Hamill will take up post with immediate effect.

Malcom says “I wish Michael well in his new role, it has been an honour to serve this fantastic club which was formed in 1883″.

Michael has been active in the club for a number of years as treasurer and said “Malcolm will be a hard act to follow but I look forward to the challenges that come with the role, there are exciting times ahead for the club with our future development plans to expand”

OUNDLE TOWN FC SIGN NEW 30 YEAR LEASE

Oundle Town FC sign a 30 year lease with Oundle School after 3 years of negotiations which now secures the Club’s future at the Station Rd ground.

The Club underwent a major restructure merging Oundle Junior Football Club (U5 to U16) with Oundle Town Football Club (First and Reserves) and formed Oundle Town Football Club Ltd. The Directors and Committee have produced a long term strategy to turn the club into a Community Football Centre of Excellence for Oundle and the surrounding area.

Club Chairman Cameron Holmes says “These are exciting times for the Club and we will be working with the FA to develop the whole area into football pitches, with lights for training and matches, a new club house and everything associated with taking our club to the next level! We want to work together with members and stake holders to develop both Senior and Junior teams and to provide a more secure footing for Football in Oundle and the surrounding area. We currently have a Walking Football Team and are looking to introduce Football for the Disabled in the near future.

The Club are holding an event this Sunday, 2nd September, at Station Rd (12:30) to celebrate the signing of the lease and to mark the next stage in the Club’s history, which was formed in 1883.

Oundle Town Football Club is Affiliated to the Northamptonshire Football Association and are members of The Peterborough and District Junior Alliance (PJAL), The Peterborough And District Youth League (PDYL), Hunts League, Chromasports League for the Senior and Reserves with the Vets playing in the Northants Sunday Combination League.
